Sunday March 1st 2026

OVERVIEW: Teaching Artists David and Ariana will be presenting their workshop ‘Cultivating Conversation: Using In-Character Facilitation to Bring Your Message Home’ as part of the Drama Australia National Conference this year. This workshop will occur on Day 2 of the conference, Sunday March 1st. We are delighted to be presenting at this conference, and even more excited to do some learning and growing ourselves through all the wonderful workshops and presentations on offer this year by all the impressive participants. If you are interested in registering for the conference, please visit their website. Bookings close February 18th 5:00pm WAST. We have provided the organisation link below.
Explore how the art of in-character facilitation can cultivate
empathy, understanding, and knowledge through facilitated
post‐show conversation. Discover how you can increase the
impact of Theatre for Social Change by providing an audience
with the opportunity to ask characters about their experiences,
learn important information, and increase their own empathy and
efficacy by problem solving with the characters on stage. In this
interactive session, we will see how each character’s Knowledge,
Attitude, and Behaviour can be explored in order to achieve your
Education Objective.
